About

FIRST MARTIAL ARTS ACADEMY

The First Martial Arts school runs by martial etiquette, FMA Dojangs have order and respect so all students  may learn with confidence in a positive and safe environment. FMA is a traditional martial arts school, our focus is for students to practice the martial art correctly to learn effective self-defence, grow strong both mentally and physically while learning the martial way under the supervision of their teacher and the Master. These critical factors will ensure First Martial Arts ongoing success and stability for all members.

Most of our Westerm Australian Dojangs were established in the mid 80’s, coupled with Master Vernon Low & Chief Instructor Dane Meade’s understanding of the traditional arts we offer you a true martial arts experience.

We teach everyone from the most dedicated experts that want to further their understanding to young adults that want to learn basic self-defence techniques to parents that would like to regain fitness and children that require a structured disciplined learning environment.

TRADITIONAL & NON-COMPETITIVE

Unlike some martial arts, FMA is a traditional and non-competitive art. The emphasis is on building your individual physical and mental confidences through the study of the art.  Tae Kwon Do is regarded as one of the most comprehensive, dynamic and effective arts of self defence in this day and age. You will not only learn more about your whole self but also feel the real confidence of being able to defend yourself and your family.

GRADING / BELT PROMOTIONS

Master Low visits Perth to conduct grading exams quarterly. This way Master Low keeps kup/grade/belt standards high. Students are aware of what is expected by their Instructor (teacher) and they practice to meet those standards, those students that have not reached expected First Martial Arts kup/grade standards are not promoted in rank and advised positively on what they must practice on for next grading assessment in 3 months.
